Uvdal as a workplace

Living

At the very top of the valley Numedal you will find Nore and Uvdal municipality, where Uvdal Maskinfabrikk is located. The municipality offers beautiful, unspoiled nature and beautiful nature experiences. 

In Nore and Uvdal there are about 2,500 inhabitants, and scattered settlements. Here you do not have to stress in a traffic jam when you are going to and from work. Uvdal has a great hiking terrain in forests and mountains, and plenty of opportunities to cultivate outdoor interests. The municipality has a high quality of kindergartens and schools, and a wide range of leisure activities for children and young people.

What to see and do

Large parts of Hardangervidda National Park are located in Nore and Uvdal municipality, and Uvdal has not chosen the keywords “undetected, untouched and unique” for nothing. Here you will find everything nature can offer right outside the door, summer and winter. Go hiking on Hardangervidda, skiing on newly prepared trails or visit the wolf at Langedrag. Whether you prefer high heart rate and action, close encounters with wildlife, fishing or walking, Uvdal is the perfect starting point. 

Numedal is also called Middelalderdalen (the Middle Age Valley), because here you will find several of Norway’s most beautiful buildings from this time. The cultural life in Nore and Uvdal is rich with great activity in cultural heritage, traditions and nature.
